Quilter 7 The WealthSelect Managed portfolios are able to select from the widest investment universe, compared to the WealthSelect Responsible and WealthSelect Sustainable portfolios. As portfolios adhere to more ESG or sustainable attributes, the choice of investments becomes smaller. Fund universe Managed Portfolios Responsible Portfolios Sustainable Portfolios Funds that are purely focused on investment returns. They may consider ESG factors, but we do not consider them leaders and ESG factors are not treated as particularly material Funds that Quilter regards as leaders in ESG integration but do not have explicit environmental and/or social targets Funds that Quilter regards as leaders in ESG integration and pursue explicit environmental and/or social targets Funds that target sustainable outcomes as a core part of the strategy (and usually are also assessed as leaders in ESG integration The portfolio invests substantially in these funds as they are most closely aligned to its objectives Although not part of the portfolio’s core investment universe, these funds may be important to help to achieve its objectives The portfolio may invest in these funds to some degree, where we believe there is a strong investment justification These funds may be held to a limited degree, and only where necessary to achieve an appropriately diversified portfolio Table key WealthSelect investment universe The WealthSelect portfolios will invest in different types of funds and in different proportions to achieve their objectives. The below table shows the different funds and how substantially they make up each portfolio’s holdings. Responsible investment The portfolio management team is supported by a dedicated responsible investment team. The team of analysts focus on voting, engagement, stewardship, fund analysis, and data. Meanwhile, the investment fund research team already has a dedicated ESG lead and each team member has the specific responsibility to review and incorporate ESG integration into their fund assessment work. Across Quilter, we also have a number of people whose roles now incorporate significant ESG responsibilities.
